Our Story
At TuffCookieCo, every treat starts with a simple idea: every horse deserves to feel special.

When 13-year-old Calista Yun wasn’t riding or keeping up with school, she was in the kitchen—experimenting, baking, and decorating horse treats. What began as a small project for her own pony quickly turned into something much bigger.

Inspired by her love for horses and her creativity in the kitchen, Calista built TuffCookieCo with one mission in mind: “leave no pony unspoiled.”
Her journey with horses began at just five years old, after constantly asking her mom to let her ride. Soon after, she got her first pony, Georgie, and her passion only grew. Over the years, that passion evolved into competing in the jumper ring and developing a deep understanding of horse care—especially when her pony needed a sugar-free diet. Instead of seeing it as a limitation, Calista saw an opportunity. She began creating homemade, horse-safe treats so her pony could still enjoy something special.

From there, TuffCookieCo was born.

What started as a few homemade batches quickly turned into a growing business, with orders coming in faster than expected. Today, Calista spends countless hours baking and decorating each treat by hand, balancing her time between school, riding, and running her business—with a little help from her mom along the way.
